Media Magelang - A Palestinian woman volunteered to pledge her oath to protect the Aqsa Mosque in East Jerusalem from attacks by the Israeli Army.

The woman named Hatice Huveys vowed to continue guarding the Aqsa Mosque, which is the first qibla of Muslims until she dies or until the Palestinian territories are free from Israeli occupation.

Hatice Huveys is a teacher who is 44 years old.

In her story, her family has endured a lot of suffering and abuse committed by the Israeli authorities while guarding the Aqsa Mosque.

Hatice Huveys also told the sad story of being detained by the Israeli Army 28 times since 2014.

Hatice Huveys cried for the first time when Israeli troops removed her headscarf when she was detained in an Israeli prison about four years ago.

She was sentenced to 23 days in prison in 2017 on charges of protesting the entry of Jewish settlers into the area around the Aqsa Mosque.
