Media Magelang - Thailand and Vietnam are planning to mix and match two different Covid-19 vaccines, even though the World Health Organization (WHO) has warned that there is no definitive data on their effectiveness.

As quoted by Media Magelang from AFP, Thailand will give the first dose using the Sinovac vaccine and the second dose using AstraZeneca to accelerate the formation of antibodies within six weeks.

Meanwhile, Vietnam will also combine AstraZeneca and Pfizer BioNTech Covid-19 vaccines, as quoted by Media Magelang from Reuters.

Vietnam just received 97,000 doses of Pfizer BioNTech vaccine last week.

How about Indonesia?

Indonesia began to give the third injection or booster of the Moderna vaccine for health workers at the Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo National General Hospital (RSCM) on Friday, July 16, 2021.

A total of 50 professors from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia (UI) became the first recipients of this third dose.

Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, as quoted by Media Magelang from the official website of the Ministry of Health, hopes that with this booster, medical personnel will be more protected, especially since they are the front line in the fight against Covid-19.
